Size of breeding Dwarf Cajuns(cambarellus shufeldtii)?
I have been keeping Dwarf Cajuns for about 3 months now with one tank housing RCS and the mottled(spotted) version of the dwarf cray and another tank with the striped version. I started with 3 pair of each and now have literally a couple hundred of each kind. The hatchlings from the first generation are now starting to become berried, with the largest just barely reaching 1/2". Is this normal for the dwarves?

Yes, quite normal. 3 months is about right for the 1st berry. If they are all of the same generation you'll get about 2 good hatches and it will stop for a couple of months, then start again. If you want continuos production you must have males of different ages. The males of this species become infertile every over molt. It takes a trained eye to tell the difference. It is easier to keep multiple generations of males together.
