Any word if they breed true, or if they are dyed like the Neocaridina sp. "blue"?

They breed true....sorta. The orange eyes breed completely true and the blue is about 50%, with the other ones looking like normal tiger shrimp.

This is according to the guy I purchased them from in Germany.

I have also heard from several breeders of the Blue Tigers.

The Orange eyes Breed true and there are about 4 different offspring variations.

Normal Tigers with Orange Eyes.
Vey Light Blue
Medium Blue
And a small % that are a Dark Blue.

It sounds like they need more selective breeding.

I will be able to give a better update after I receive mine.

I am not a big fan of the dark blue ones because they look almost black. The lighter blue ones are the ones in the pics....you can actually see the stripes and the blue.

I absolutely LOVE the dark ones....this just shows how tastes can be different. How have your shrimp been doing so far?

They are doing ok. I lost some of them but the other ones are eating. A few of them have kind of lost most their blue color and look red now (which I know is generally a sign of stress). I am not sure what else to do with them other then give them time and hope they make it.

That's too bad about the losses. I hope the rest stay heathy, please keep us updated.

I just saw a berried one yesterday so hopefully I should have some babies soon. I couldn't get a good look at her because she was hiding on the underside of a piece of wood out of the light. I will try and get a picture when she comes out and I get my camera back from my parents.
