I came across this journal article while doing some research, and thought maybe some of you would like it It's a cool look at the diet of Caridina shrimp in the wild.
Has anyone here ever tried Hibiscus leaves with their shrimp? (The article says it's very common where C. weberi live, and favored by them) Or is the garden plant another species entirely?
Also, I'm guessing this particular species isn't found in the trade very often?
I'll have to give them a try. I have Rose-of-Sharon in my yard, which is a winter hardy Hibiscus. Probably has a lot fewer tanins than the oak leaves I've been using.
