Dieing cherry ?

I have a cherry that has keeled over, it just lays on its side then will eventually does a little swim, i think the shrimp is dieing. Any ideas as to whats wrong with it and will it survive?

Hi shrimpy,
Please post more information about your setup and the condtions of the other animals in there if any.
If a shrimp is looking like it is dying, it most likely will die. If you can catch them stressed out early and know that it is something in the water, you can try a partial water change or remove the problem if visible.

The water stats are
ammonia - 0
nitrite - 0
ph - 7.8
nitrate - 20
The other shrimp are all acting fine and feeding.
It was a new shrimp so is it likely to be stress ?

It could well be stress from transportation/change of conditions as seen so many times. I am not sure in what condition the shrimp is in as I have not seen it. At this point you can hope for the best but shrimp that are dying usually do not recover.

If they shipped you adult shrimp you may have more losses. Adults don't transplant that well. If you get more, be sure to only get tank bred juvies.
