Hi all- I just received some orange shrimp(caridina sp orange) and some crystal red shrimp(neocaridina heteropoda). Has anyone had experience with these two types? Do they have similar tank requirements? Can they be housed together? Jan

I think you may be a little confused. Crystal red shrimp (CRS) are NOT Neocaridina heteropoda, as they are in the Caridina genus. Do you mean RCS (red cherry shrimp)?

Also, I'm afraid to sound like a broken record, but please do a search of the forums for your varieties of shrimp. You will find lots of posts/threads on how to care for N. heteropoda or CRS, whichever you have, and several on orange shrimp as well.

Thanks for the info- it seems as though I may have gotten the wrong info The shrimp I just obtained are the CRS and the orange shrimp. BTW, you don't sound like a broken record to me- I'm new here, and I will do a search! Jan
