Beautiful pictures.
Do you know why the pictures have a scroll bar at the right hand side ? It would be nice to see the whole picture without having to scroll.

What plant is it that is giving that grass appearance? I've love to recreate that in my tank.

shadohfrog - I dont' see any scroll bar...
jeej - That's Lilaeopsis brasiliensis. There are a few other similar species (L. chinensis, L. ruthiana etc.).
Whoops, I've made a mistake. I have 1x8W Powerglo and 2x8W Daylight.
A few additional pictures.

Actually I've used 6 regular sized balls. 3 on the filter and 3 to cover one piece of arched wood in the back of the tank.

Sorry Allex, I meant the furry looking stuff covering that object at the back of the tank. What is that?

Oh, that's Cladophora also known as Moss Ball, Morimo Ball or just Aegagropila linnaei.

Hi
I've made a few changes (new filter turbine, less plants, new fish) so tell me what you think.

Hi Alex, thanks for sharing the pictures again. The new scape has opened up the tank visually and it seems much more roomy. I see the shrimp out in the open, how are the fish behaving towards the shrimp? Have you seen any aggressive behaviors?

That was the plan.

None. The fish (
Oryzias latipes) stay mostly near the surface and ignore the shrimp completely. Although they occasionally take a short dive near the green morimo pillow to lay eggs. Thats the only time fish and shrimp meet face to face.
