Ignore the somewhat ill looking anubius to the left of the pic, I am inbetween lighting units and it is suffering!

Also, please pardon the crappy image quality, was taken with my camera phone, but I will get some better pics soon.

Currently in the process of growing lots of moss along the wood and rocks, so it looks a little messy at the mo.

You can see in this pic that I have a piece of driftwood (on the right-hand side) that starts at the bottom right of the tank, moves up and leans on the terra-cotta urn, then up further and towards the back of the tank where it is supporting an anubius plant.

In this shot you can see more clearly the overhang from where the driftwood moves up and away from the terra-cotta urn. The shrimp love climbing all over this.

I'm trying to create a cascading effect with the java moss, so it hangs down from the wood - very sleepy hollow!

I'll be back with better quality photos once I get my new lighting unit - next weekend.

Any tips on improving the look of the tank, or making it more homely for the shrimp, would be greatly appreciated. :)

Nice looking setup and theme. You should remove the dead and damaged leaves on the anubias plants since they can not be repaired anyways. The shrimp love moss so you can just let your present moss grow out of add new moss in. Please keep us updated.

Thanks for the advice, I wasn't aware that they would not repair, I will remove them tonight. Do I literally just remove the leaves themselves, or do I take the shoots too?

You should remove the stems too. A healthy plant with good conditions will grow new stems/leaves :-D

Nice pictures. Your tank gives the shrimp lots of places to climb on and pick around on. Thanks for sharing.

That is a nice looking Show Tank.

Almost all of my tanks are just for breeding,
It is nice to see other Hobbyist Tanks that have been nicely Aquascaped.

Please Keep the Updated Photo Comming

And some more...
Notice the cloudy water? This is what happens when you first put the Geo Liquid in your water.

The natural ingredients of the Geo-Liquid spread throughout the tank and slowly disperse as they treat the water. The cloudiness is generally totally gone within a few hours and then leaves your water crystal clear.

I like the use of the moss :-D Thanks for sharing with us!

Do you shrimp noticibly eat the hair algae? I hear that they eat many different types of algae and just wondered if this is one of them. I have a friend who uses his shrimp to clean off plants with algae on it, he says they always do a great job of cleaning the plants :D

Have you seen any shrimp adverse effects/deaths while using the Geo-Liquid?

I manually added that hair algae to the tank myself for them to eat, and yes, I have seen them eating it.

As for the Geo Liquid, I don't have any scientific evidence, but I would say my shrimp look better and more happy since I started using it - certainly no deaths, the total opposite... lots more lives! And the tank looks great!
