May I introduce myself

Hello folks, this is my first post, I have been keeping fish for 40 years and was bitten by the shrimp bug a couple of years ago. I have learned an amazing amount from the collection of information and knowledgeable members here. Thank you all for your thoughtful posting.

Here are a few pictures of some of my shrimp varieties.

Please forgive my lack of photography skills.

Thank you all
Mark

Hi Mark, nice looking shrimp! The pictures are a bit fuzzy, but the shrimp really look good! I see several different sizes, do you breed them? I've been in the hobby since ' 71, my first fishbowl. The shrimp bug bit me about 10 years ago, but it's been hard to find different spiecies until I learned of aquabid about a year ago. That of course led me to this site.

Hello and Welcome to the Forum.
Fuzzy pictures are better than no pictures at all.

Welcome! Nice photos and looking forward to your input. You are correct about the information available here and I feel it is one of the best places to learn about Dwarf Shrimp online.

Cheers, Bill

Thanks for the warm welcome! I subscribe to the keep it simple plan...

Do your water changes...Let the biofilm grow... Be patient...

Don't overfeed...Don't turn your tank(s)into water chemistry experiments…Be patient...

These are my simple rules, which have been discussed here again and again.

My shrimp breed like crazy!

Sounds just like my plan, especially the part about "water chemistry experitments". If the shrimp are doing well then the water is good, if not then we pull out the chemstry equipment.

I'm sorry Guba, I wasn't ignoring your question...I missed it completely.

My CRS, Bee, Tiger, Snowball and RCS are all between six weeks and a year and half. My Yellows are about six months old and have been dropping shriplets like crazy the past six weeks. I always seem to have a group of berried females.

No apoligies necessary, you have quite a variety of speicies! So far I can only claim 2 speicies as successfully bred. I recently purchased ghost/glass shrimp, I've had 'em in the past, but i've never successfully bred them. That will change!
