Acclimatization period of Sulawesi Cardinals

Hi Everyone,

I have a chance to get Sulawesi Cardinals. The person I would be getting them from said they are wild caught and she has been acclimatizing them to her tank over a period of two weeks.
Is that length of time necessary? I do want to be carful as if I do get them they will be $18 Canadian. Oh she did say that's was loosing some maroons that were with the cardinals so that's not encouraging either.

I'm very leery about getting wild caught anything after my CW Jackson's chameleon die after only having him for 2 months.

Thanks,

TKD

It does not matter how long to acclimate your wild-caught shrimp...most of them will die anyway...that's, unfortunately, the way it is.

Ya I was kinda thinking that... and at that price I think I will let some one else take the risk for now.

I ordered Cardinal from Indonesia and as Mustafa said 3/4 of them died over a few weeks, but I do now have a healthy colony that is sporadically breeding. Not sure what I have wrong, but breeding is now slowed. I do have 3 generations of shrimp though and hope to get the ball rolling again.
