Hello i've just joined the forum. I am an avid fishkeeper and have been for about 5 years but i've just dipped into the world of SHRIMP and of course now i have a question.

My question is what is the shrimp in this picture. She (i say she cause i swear it had eggs a few days ago) is about 8cm long with long small pincers. Is very nosey, bites my fingers, tries to catch the fish, and i love it. I think its the coolest thing i've ever owned and i want more but none of my local fish shops know what it is other than some sort off oddball Macrobrachium.

Looks like a Macrobrachium lanchesteri. And, yes, it's a female.
