Hi,

I am trying to find out how to go about putting brown leaves, mainly oak leaves into my shrimp tank. My shrimps (amano, cherry, red crytal and filter shrimps) are all doing very nicely without any leaves, but I have read here that the addition of leaves into the tank is beneficial to shrimp.

My question is this......

Do they have to be dried out ? Can I pick up some brown leaves, rinse off any dirt soak them in aquarium water and then add them ? I am unsure about what do , so pending any replies I will not add any at the moment, but would really appreciate some more advice on the subject.

Thanking you all in anticipation.

There are a bunch of threads in the forum regarding this. Pretty easy to search the forum to find it....Here is one that I found when searching "Oak"
