RCS: Possible to carry tapeworms/roundworms?

In one of my tanks I had a problem with tapeworms, the cherry shrimp are perfectly healthy and are actually thriving. Not a single one has died. Is it possible for red cherry shrimp to carry tapeworms and/or roundworms or other parasites without dying? I'm thinking about putting some of the shrimp (from the infected tank) into a new tank with new (uninfected) inhabitants but I'm paranoid about spreading parasites to the new tank. I guess my main question is this: Are red cherry shrimp possible intermediate hosts for tapeworms/roundworms?
