Hi... I have a 2 ft spare tank which I want to breed solely crystal red shrimps... Can anyone advise me on what I need to have in the tank?
1. Gravel
2. Air powered sponge filter
3. some rocks for them to hide
4. Some java moss
Please help me add to the list. thanks....

Go to the "Articles" section of this website and read the Article on keeping shrimp there. It applies pretty much to all algae/microorganism eating shrimp.

Ok got it. But I have already added some black sand... How am I going to get some crushed coral sand at the bottom? Any advise on that?

You do not need all that much crushed coral...just a couple pieces are fine. It does not just come in sand form but also in chunks. Plus, you could just add some calcium once in a while, but that won't be necessary if you already have hard water. Crushed coral won't be necessary then either...New York City water is as soft as it gets and has almost no kh/gh so I have to take measures to harden it up a little bit and buffer PH. Your case might be different.
