Urgent!!! shrimp dying...

Hello all,
New to shrimp keeping and it's not going well...
I have a TMC aquagro microhabitat 8. 8 litres. This is a fully setup aquarium heavily planted that i purchased on ebay 4 weeks ago. It came with one crystal red shrimp. I have been doing water changes with bottled spring water once a week since i got the tank. There have been no problems. So last weekend i purchased 6 cherry red shrimp and 4 celstrrial pearl danios. Fish are doing well but one of the new shrimp dyed yesterday and now one more is dead and at least one other is looking bad.... yesterday after finding one dead i did a 2 litre water change. I thought it was just an introduction thing a that one mortality is to be expected... now two more are bad i'm concerned!!
My test kit is at home (tanks on my desk in my office) so won't be able to test the water till tommorow. The tank is a a stable 24.2 -25.5 degrees C depending on the time of day.
What should i do?? Suggestion welcome. I'm concerned that either i have an ammonium spike or the bottled water is unsuitable. However the CRS has been fine for a month???
Thoughts?
Thanks,
Jim
