Red Cherries dying, Ghosts OK

My ghost shrimp are thriving. I swear they recognize me when I walk in to the room. (At least they seem to rush to the front of the tank when I'm feeding then!!) Don't have much luck with Red Cherries, though. Thbeir tank has the same parameters as the ghost shrimp tank, but I lost all ten within a week. I guess I'll stick with "feeders" rather than "breeders" for a while. The red cherries were a $50 education. :smt006

are they in the same tank? if so it won't work, ghost shrimp's present will stress out your cherry. ghost shrimp are territorial and predators. they will harass, capture, and eat your cherry shrimps.

Wow I didn't know that...

I bought 5 ghosts to cycle in hopes of adding some red ones, may have to just keep the ghosts then...

Ah, so that's what happened to my cherry shrimps. Had them in with the ghost shrimps. They both did well for awhile.
