I am in the planing stage for a 35 gallon shrimp tank and was wondering if anyone had any experience with Green Neon Tetra (Paracheirodon simulans), it seems that at a maximum size of 2.5 cm (a full cm shorter than a normal neon tetra) that they might be safe to house with shrimp, they also like a colder tank like a lot of shrimp. I want some fish in the tank so if anyone knows of any other fish this small or smaller please let me know

There should be no problems keeping this species with adult/older juvenile shrimp. If you have enough hiding spaces for the shrimp you will even see some shrimp reproduction. There are lots of species of fish that stay that small or even smaller...Hyphessobrycon amandae (ember tetra) comes to mind, or any of the Boraras spp.
