I want to keep Giant African Fan Shrimp with my community fish tank. It is a 56 gallon column dimension is 36 inch length and 18 inch , filter by a Eheim 2217 canister filter and a Ac70 hob filter. I have Water Sprites, Compact Swords , anubias, frogbits as plants with two Featherfin catfish, six rapheal catfish, one firemouth cichlid, 4 sunset platies, and five odessa barbs. I read some where these wonderful shrimps are too sensitive to be a busy community tank and catfishes may too aggresive toward it. I hope this is not true! Advise please?

If your cichlid is anything like mine he's just going to see the shrimp as a tasty snack. Mine go after everything I put in the tank.
