Hi all
I have the following variables:
4ft Tank
Planted with lots of moss
Bio Load
28 Yamato Shrimps
30 Cherry Shrimps
2 Bee Shrimp
1 Tiger Shrimp
3 Otos
2 SAEs
Water Parameters
Kh:8.5
pH:7.2
Co2: 16ppm
QUESTION:
1) My bees and tigers started to decline from an initial population of 100 (each) to 2 and 1 respectively.
As such, is there anything wrong with my variables as described above. My Cherry & Yamatos (which were either multiplying or growing) and they seemed very healthy.
Pls advise as what has gone wrong with my setup. Thanks

You have Cherries and Yamatos breeding in the same tank?snemeis wrote: As such, is there anything wrong with my variables as described above. My Cherry & Yamatos (which were either multiplying or growing) and they seemed very healthy.

Do you have anything in the tank that might be rotting? Any driftwood? Bees and Tigers are more sensitive animals (in general) than Cherry Reds and C. japonica. Hence, they might also be sensitive to the CO2, although I cannot confirm that since I do not use CO2 in my bee or tiger shrimp tanks (or any tanks for that matter).snemeis wrote:My bees and tigers started to decline from an initial population of 100 (each) to 2 and 1 respectively.
