Setting up a 2.5 Gallon Shimp only tank

Well I got 6 of them. I have had them in my 2.5 gallons fully cycled tank. It's been 6 days and 5 of them have died. There was a huge ammonia spike to 3ppm. So I have no idea what the help happened.

Your tank must not have been cycled, then, or lost its initial cycle. You won't see such an ammonia spike in a fully cycled tank....in fact you won't see any ammonia at all that is measurable with the usual test kits.
