Hello all
I would like to stay away from using a sponge over my intake tube in my cherry shrimp tank and was wondering if anybody had a better idea so the young are not sucked up in the intake. Enjoy your day and thanks for taking the time to read this. Love my shrimp!!

I've seen people suggest using stockings as a pre-filter, as well as stainless steel pre-filters.

I've tried the stocking idea and it works. It does get clogged by small particles fairly quickly and has to be taken off and washed thoroughly.
I also don't like the look of the sponge so if anyone has any other innovative ideas I'd gladly try them.

how about a sponge filter? i think its a good type of filter for shrimps and fry.
