I added some bog wood that changed my water a orange color. The tank has been up for 6 months or so but the water changes and charcoal isnt helping. Can I use any tank clear or do i need a certain kind since I have shrimp?

What exactly do you mean by "water clarifier?" A chemical? If so, none of that will get rid of coloration caused by wood...and as for shrimp sensitivity...it all depends on what you are using.
