I have Larvae! A question for you.

Post by ShrimpGuy »

I see at least 20 or more floating about. Occasionally one will zip to the left or the right, but mostly motionless.

I've seen at least five or six berried females over the last month, so I'm expecting to see more floating around soon.

YAY! My patience paid off :D Is this the hard part now? Getting these to continue to hatch?

Should I be feeding at this time?

Normally I only feed one small flake of spiralina every two weeks. (Originally 30 Opae's).

Should I continue with that?

Thank you!

From what I've been able to tell from watching my tank, it seems like the hard part was getting the conditions right for them to breed and berry and hatch. So now you've just got to keep doing what you've been doing :)

I agree. Don't change anything...obviously you're feeding the right amount. Once your population increases significantly you *may* have to feed more for reproduction...but not necessarily. Just take it as it comes.
