What is a safe temperature range for our shrimp?

Post by BostonJill »

Making some vase tanks as gifts and my friends live in different situations. Hot apartments, cool houses etc…
I want to be able to tell them a temperature range which is safe for the shrimp. I was thinking it was 72 to 82 but maybe it could go a little lower or higher.
Most people here in the North East will dial down in the 60's at night so didn't know if that would be a problem.
Thanks for your help.

My tank sees mid to upper 60s in the winter, low 70s in summer.

Read the table and the first paragraph. They definitely don't need a heater.

Room temp, if you have a small tank then a heater might overheat and kill your little friends they can live in water from 60-86f ish I think.
