Calcium Reptile Sand?

Is calcium reptile sand safe to use as a substrate or would it be best to use something else?

I never tried it, but I wouldn't do it without knowing what's exactly in there. There could be all kinds of chemicals in there. There is no obligation to list them on the package. So, it's a gamble. I would go the safe route and just use natural silica sand with some type of calcium carbonate rock sprinkled loosely over it.
