based on ease of care and breeding, wich would be recomended? i would like to hear if anyone has had a success story about breeding either of these two species. i have herd both can be a little dificult. or, if one is harder to care for in general than the other that would help me decide.

I'd say tigers, but that's just my experience. YMMV.

I manage to breed some Tiger shrimp,CRS and Diamond and plenty of Cherry shrimps.

Bee shrimps are the worst. Previouly bought 500pcs of Bee shrimps but after a hard search, cannot even find one with eggs. Rare them for 6 months and left around 100pcs only.

Hi cro117,

Based on my limited experience, both Cherry and Tiger are the same.

Hi Petlovers2116,

Could you please tell me what species in photo DSC00068 is? I have two shrimps of this species. The shopkeeper told me they're called 'black-shelled shrimp'. However, they're not black at all. Is it Amano?

Thanks in advance !

Hi Becky,

Those are Caridina japonica (Amano/Yamato Shrimp).
