I recently put one "flower" shrimp (basically a bamboo shrimp except it's blue) into my Eclipse System 12 tank and every night it seems to like to crawl into the opening that the filtered water flows out from and hide underneath the biowheel. I understand it probably likes that area cause of the water flow but is there any way to get it to stop going into the filter?

I stopped mine from doing that by tying a big artificial plant to the top intake tube(across the tank from the water outlet). He hangs out in there now, filtering away. From what I understand, they like a current and to hide, so it works out great
