I am about to set up my shrimp tank(got a filter ready that is in another tank right now) and was wondering will Play sand work for shrimp? Lots of Cherry shrimp and 1 bumble bee shrimp will be in the tank.

It will work if you wash it thoroughly first. Then let the tank cycle and "age" (for 1-2+ months until you see algae) before putting any shrimp in there.
