HOW to feed crawfish, not what to feed

I looked for this topic and couldn't find any posts... makes me feel silly for asking, but... I know what foods I should be feeding my crawfish, but HOW do I feed him? the food just floats to the top and does not sink. I have tried burying it in the gravel some which works on some food, but there has to be an easier solution...Has anyone else had this problem?

What type of food are you feeding them. If you buy floating pellets/sticks they are not going to sink. Most fish foods sink unless they say otherwise.

i am referring to vegetables like greens, a piece of potato ...just about everything floats to the top. i've tried using a tooth pick and sticking it down in the sand. works ok on some things.

Vegatables can be par boiled. Then it will sink. Freezing veggies will make them limp and they usually sink. Not sure about peas.
