Very new to shrimps so I need info! I want to put my last 5 shrimp (ghost?) in with my pepper cory fry for clean up. Can I use regular potting soil for plants in the tank? The name of it is Hyponex from Scotts I'm hoping so as I can't afford any other soil until next month (on disability). Any help is welcomed! I don't want to use gravel in this tank cause of the babies so if I have to I will wait ton change containers until I get some other soil or whatever is advised Thanks in advanced :smt006

Don't use any kind of plant soil in the aquarium with shrimp. You're just going to kill your shrimp over the long term (and your water will look like tea and stink). Go get some pool filter sand if you don't want to use gravel.
