cant find an answer to this question...

o.k. ive looked at everything and watched everything about shrimp keeping but i cant find an answer to this question.so....i get my shrimp from the mailman...i open the box...and take out the shrimp.now i always drip acclimate my shrimp for 2hrs before putting them in the main tank but...how do you get the water that the shrimp came in the same temparture as the main tank? should i float them first in the main tank? then drip acclimate them? if you know please tell me. thanks paul

thats what i'd do. i do it for any new livestock i get honestly. but i suppose if you drip for 2 hours the temperature will slowly equalize.
