Black (non) racer nerite snails

MY SNAILS WONT MOVE.

I live in a colder climate area, so to buy the snails from this site would have cost me around 45 dollars in shipping.. SO me being the penny hoarder that I am, went to PetSmart and bought two black racer snails. I wasn't sure how to acclimate them from fresh water to brackish so I put them in a cup with half fresh water and half brackish water for about an hour. They were movin and groovin and were fine, so I thought it would be okay to add them to the tank! But now they won't move and have been sitting in the same spot all day... are they acclimating themselves? Are they dead? Anyone have experience with these guys? I'll feel slightly bad if I killed them in less then 24 hours.. help pleAse!

This is a bit late...but how are your snails doing? And why would it be $45 in shipping? Do you live outside the country?
