first off, I am new to this forum, so hello all!

I recently found some baby shrimp in my tank which lead me to this site. My first guess is that they were amano babies, but the more I read and communicated on forums the more I started to doubt it (amanos need brackish water). I currently have 2 blue shrimp, 2 bumblebee shrimp and 5 amano shrimp in my 50g freshie. I witness the two large amanos mating and a week or so later baby shrimp started appearing.

I took some picts, maybe you guys could help me id them.

Blue, Bumblebee or Amano?

Hi,

it can't be Amano shrimplets. The females give birth to larvae not shrimplets. And the larvae need brackish water to grow up. You can see here how to breed Amano shrimps.

There are several species of blue shrimps, sometimes artificially colored. Didn't you see any shrimp carrying eggs?

Anyway, I think your shrimplets are bumble bee babies or blue shrimp babies. You will know in a few weeks what species it is when they color up :) .
