Telescoping net maintenance?

Post by Aquarimax »

I just received the telescoping net from Petshrimp.com. I it looks like it will be great for shrimp wrangling! Since the telescoping handle on the net is metal, donI need to do anything other than rinse and dry it to keep it in good shape?

Yep, that's about it! I'm using one myself and it hasn't rusted or anything so far. But to be on the safe side I would rinse it with freshwater after exposing it to water with any degree of salinity.

Thank you Mustafa, I appreciate that. It sounds like the net will last a long time with a little basic maintenance. :D

Yep! I should add that if you have hard freshwater, I would extend the net fully once in a while to make sure that any hard calcium carbonate deposits get broken up so they don't interfere with the extension/telescoping mechanism.
