# of snails/gallon

So how many snails would be good per gallon of tank, if the tank were rarely fed and has a single macroalgae with ~13 shrimp. I ordered 10 from Mustafa, but only 3 have survived, but they are very large now. They don't get all the algae on the glass or a few of the calcium rocks. I have a 1.5 gallon tank currently, but I'm considering stepping up to a 5 gallon. I know it's more magic than science, but a rough number would be greatly appreciated.
