New tank setup

So excited to of found your site. Purchased everything I needed and followed the directions. Sets the little guy free today 2022. I had the ecosphere since 2014. It was a gift from a friend. I was going to purchase another one and then came across your information about how they can suffocate so I decided to set him free into a tank of his own and just purchased more little shrimp from your site today. He seems very happy and very energetic, more than he’s ever been. He is swimming the perimeter of the tank going around and around for the past hour or so , it will be very interesting to see how he greets his new little shrimp mates when they arrive and I introduce them. He’s been alone for many years.

Thanks Eastgatemanor - so glad to see you had a successful transfer from the EcoSphere. Any advice on how to get the bottom open? Did you end up with broken glass, or the plug come off intact? I'm cycling a new tank now (Aug) to try what you did in July.
