Can someone please tell me what the brown looking stuff is below? Is that brown mold? Should I clean the substrate? Thanks

Not mold. Cyanobacteria, algae. Shrimp and snails will eat it.

That's quite a bit of it in there. I don't think the shrimp will make a dent in it. I'd be more concerned as to what's causing it as it will eventually take of the tank.

No need to clean the substrate...or anything. It's just normal biofilm. Just stop feeding until the shrimp and snails eat it all up. That may take a few months.... In the meantime, if you want to see your shrimp better, you can clean the glass and leave whatever comes off the glass in the tank. Again, shrimp and snails will take care of it.
