sorry about the frustration. My shrimps are now pregnant, even the babies born from last month are pregnant. They are REd cherry shrimps and yes they had babies before and i was just wondering the time it takes for them to be pregnant again. It seems to be 2-3 weeks for me. I just hope the eggs are fertilized
unless you have super shrimp, this is not possible, no matter what species you have. newly hatched shrimp will take at least 3 months to mature to an age where they are capable of having viable eggs and/or sperm. shrimp simply do not grow or molt that fast. mature female shrimp, however, are constantly developing eggs, even when they are carrying. normally, once one batch of eggs have hatched, they will molt, and be carrying again. how soon they carry again depends on whether there was a large enough food source during their pregnancy to continue egg production to pt where they are ready for the next run.Cajunspice wrote: even the babies born from last month are pregnant.

young
Most of my red cherries are about 2 months old, and I don't see in any possible way how they could carry any kind of eggs. Even if they are already fertile, there soooo tiny still. I'm not exactly sure, I just let nature do its thang. I provide allot of shelter, great vitamins, calcium and iodine. Lots of Java Moss, and whenever they breed, they breed. You can't (make) shrimp breed, so be patient and watch for eggs
