Hi Veneer, thanks for the link! There seems to be an endless variety of interesting shrimp.
What Macrobrachium species do you currently keep, if any? Can you make some general behavior comments about them such as whether some species need to live alone? I especially ask this because I've had to provide lots of cover for my two female M.lanchesteri. Every time they encounter each other, they seem to be in attack or defense mode. And what about the sexes? Generally speaking, would opposite sexes tend to tolerate each other better, or are other factors more important (like size)?

Is the colloration in the green and yellowheart caused by a parasite like with the caridina palmata?

It's likely that those colored patches reflect stomach content.
