I came across an article recently that briefly mentioned geodata being used in aquaculture, and it made me wonder — how exactly is geodata applied in the context of shrimp farming or shrimp-related research?
I imagine it could help with things like monitoring coastal environments, optimizing farming locations, or maybe tracking water conditions, but I’d love to understand the real-world applications a bit better. Are there any specific tools or datasets used for this kind of work?
Also, is this something that's mostly used by larger shrimp farming operations, or are there accessible tools for smaller producers and researchers as well?
If anyone here knows more about this or has worked with geographic data in aquaculture, I’d be really interested to hear your insights.
Thanks in advance.
