Breeding Ghost Shrimp
Hello to all, I am trying to breed ghost shrimp in a ten gallon tank. I started out with about 20 shrimp and about 7 of them were eaten by other shrimp. The tank has a 20 gallon sponge filter in it and has a nice clump of java moss. My problem is this, any time eggs are released they last only about a day or two before they are all gone. I don't know if they are getting eaten by the shrimp, or if the two tiny snails I have are messing with them. I constantly have a female holding eggs but never any babies! Should I remove the holding female until she releases or not? PLEASE HELP my Frontosa are hungry.

Hi Fishyfingers and welcome to the forum.
Here's a back topic that might give you some insight while you wait for additional info/replies: viewtopic.php?t=137
By the way, what kind of shrimp eat your ghost shrimp? Typically, unless it's a Macrobrachium type species, most shrimp don't eat each other unless it's already dead or dying.
