macrobrachium SP

Hi,
Can anyone provide me some info about macrobrachium species (shrimps). I think i have Macrobrachium Lar.(according to a german site but they are not sure, but mine look the same as the pic there). I want to know as much as possible about this species....

Hi Ben,

That is *NOT* a Machrobrachium lar. The German website has it wrong on this species. M. lar becomes HUGE with huge pincers and a bad attitude. :-D The shrimp you are showing in the picture above stays much smaller with not so big pincers.

I have no idea yet what their real species name is (and neither does the German website you are talking about...trust me :-D ), but I'll let you know if I ever find out.

Besides, *tons* of young Macrobrachium look like that before they literally become huge monsters, so just a picture will not do it for identification purposes.

can you provide some information about the shrimp? i mean size and stuff like that...
