Could a pH change from 7.0 to 8.0 force a molt? Whenever I bought ghost shrimp or put crayfish in my tanks they molted within 7 days.

Just want to know in general if a pH change of +1.0 could make inverts molt.

Any major changes to the water chemistry like that will cause stress & that can cause premature molts.
