I have a 75 gallon aquarium with several guppies. I am wondering if I can add the dwarf chiclid apistogramma cacatuoides in with my shrimp and if my young shrimp are even safe with my guppies-which are some what small-a little over an 1" long including the tail. My tank is medium to highly planted.
also sorry about the misplaced question-didn't think it would cause so much trouble.

I suspect you could raise some very nice examples of A. cacatuoides by keeping them with your shrimp.

It is dangerous, don't do it. I didn't see it myself but I have been told. Apisto can swallow an adult tiger shrimp (well, not quite, with the tail sticking out of the mouth) with one bite.

I don't think it is a good idea but you can try
