Hi all!
I just have a few questions about what i should be aware of when getting Red Cherries in my tank.

The tank is a 66 gallon planted tank with 4 Blue Gourami, 2 Trigonostigma heteromorpha (I dont know the English name for that Rasbora), 2 Glow Tetras, 2 Siamese algaeeaters and 2 Ancistrus. I use CO2 to lower the pH to 6.4-6.6 and I have a Fluval 404 filter at full speed. I can lower the speed to half, but I use it as a CO2 reactor aswell so I dont get airlocks. I also use PMDD for the plants.
I was thinking about 10-15 Red Cherries to start with and if there is anything that might be a problem, please tell me so I dont do anything stupid. If any of the fish are a problem then they are gone! I want to have shrimps in my tank...

These are the only fish that might be a big problem.

I would suggest at least adding a sponge pre-filter.

The Gourami are history and the Fluval has got a pre-filter.

The rasboras will eat any baby shrimp that they can catch, although you might be able to sustain or even slowly grow a population of shrimp if there are enough plants in your tank that provide hiding spaces for the young and adults.

I guess that the Rasboras will be leaving in the future, and the tank will be heavily planted. If the shrimps are a hit I will get more and probably some other kind. The guy I´m buying from are breeding a few different kinds and he told me that the Red Cherries are a strong kind and good to start with. I´m going to buy 10-15 tomorrow and see how they will do in my tank. Hopefully they will like it

Yes, now i got 10 Red Cherries. 5 male and 5 female and i hope that they will breed in my tank because i took a good look at the tanks the seller had them in and they were beautifully free from algae.... I want that too.

I put the shrimps in the tank after the lights were off in the evening and the day after in the morning i found 1 dead at the bottom. In a corner i found 3 walking around doing nothing/something. After a few hours they were all gone and i have not seen them since... For 3 days i have been looking all over the tank, but not seen any of them. If they were dead i probably should have noticed some bodies laying around. Can they be hiding or have i fed my fish an expensive meal?
