Lucky me, at least I won't go to the crayfish madness stage... I had bad experience before--- I caught some wild crayfishes from Lake Michigan and tried to raise them... Probably the tank was too small (only 10 gallons), not enough space for them...they turned aggressive towards each other and hurt ...

I usually sit the tap water 24 hours before I add in water conditioner, and I still wait for another 20 minutes before I add that to the tanks.

It all happened after I introduced live brime shrimps to the planted shrimp tank...(thanks to Neonshrimp help to figure that out!) I tried siphoning first, then reduced feeding, reduced and lowered lighting and they just keep coming back...although it wasn't as worse as in the first place... Finally...

When I have the chance, I may take a continuous shots on how they ram the hydras...

Well, I got this one when I purchased my plants...

Finally found an effective way to control the hydras outbreak:

Snails, the hydra killer, without disturbing your tank, nor introdcing any chemicals.

My snails drag along any hydras on their paths until those devils are no longer seen...

Seperate them!
The Cherries are constantly living in fear; as you may have noticed, their color fades when they are in stress.
Especially you are planning to bleed them, the adults may be ok, but not the babies...

I am just wondering what kind of sponge you use for the canister filter intake to reduce the stronger water flow...the current seems to upset the shrimp tank...unless you have a large size tank...

Besides what Neonshrimp suggested, lowering the light input can help also...

There was once I got three large mysteries bulbs and "dumped" those in one empty corner of the Amanos' tank. After a couple days, one turned out to be an Apon, one turned out to be a Crypto; but the third one did not develop itself after 3 weeks...I assumed it was a dead bulb... But then, ...

Raw garlic...interesting! And "they just ate that without going crazy". (Well, usually healthy food taste blend; that's why...lol) I would like to give mine a try later... Come to think of it... My shrimps finished off my small dead onion plant bulb...does that mean they like onion also?! ...

Was the photo taken from your dedicated Cherry tank, or from other community tanks?
Besides the Moss, do you use other types of plant in the same tank?

I concur with the diagnosis :D yup, it is an ailment often concurrent with and related to Multiple Tank Syndrome. Unfortunately, the prognosis is not good. Those two conditions are often terminal :lol: Hilarious! Another impressive one after the famous "application of garlic cures shrimp heart...
