Hi everyone, the cherries I got are doing awsome in their little 10 gallon tank and the LFS just got in some wood shrimp. What I was wondering is if a power head in such a small tank would bother the cherries(too much water movement) and also if it might be too small a tank to be sticking a Wood into.

You can keep them alive in a 10 gallon tank, but they won't be happy.

I used a wisper over the side filter, and an elite mini filter on the side for added flow.

If you use a standard foam filter with something like a penguin 550 it should be fine too. In the long run you should set up a soft acidic tank for them in a 20 gallon long tank. Cherries like hard acidic water. Read over the shrimp varieties page for the shimp you are interested in to see what their needs are.
