Re: Our Petshrimp Project
Any idea why the shrimps are no longer red and now they are pale white color?
Re: Our Petshrimp Project
The colors can change temporarily due to stress, but also just from changes they undergo after molting. It may well change back after the next molt.
Re: Our Petshrimp Project
They look like eggs to me! I think she may be carrying over a month now. Does anyone know when the babies will arrive? How many babies should I be expecting?
Re: Our Petshrimp Project
We can't wait to see baby shrimps! Every exciting. Thank you!
Re: Our Petshrimp Project
The momma looks like she's tangled and stuck there in the macro algae. Should I attempt to help release her? I don't want to scare her and her berries.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Re: Our Petshrimp Project
I'm pretty sure that if she got in there, she can get back out.
Re: Our Petshrimp Project
Agree. She'll easily get out.
Re: Our Petshrimp Project
Indeed! She did swim out. She is still carrying her berries with her and busy eating algae.
Thank you all for responding!

Re: Our Petshrimp Project
The glass wall of the tank is dirty or covered with algae and it makes the tank seem cloudy. But when I opened the lid and looked down, the water is very clear. Any idea how to clean the glass wall? The tank sits on my window counter with indirect sunlight.
Re: Our Petshrimp Project
..
It is food for the shrimp. I say leave it be. Do you have any trumpet snails? They will clean it up.

Re: Our Petshrimp Project
I have 3 snails. Maybe I should get some more being it's a 1.5 gallon jar.
