Red Shrimp ID

Post by Jorge »

Hi all!!!

I have checked the Shrimp Varieties Page... but I'm not sure what species is this red, it seems to be a bit different from N. denticulata sinensis "red" or is just me?

Hello Jorge,

Whatever it is, it's hard to tell because your shrimp is dying. It could recover but it's unlikely. When shrimp are very sick and almost dying they change their colors...one of the more common sick colors is reddish. Keep us up to date with this shrimp as I would bei interested in how long it will survive.

Beside color, it doesn't really look like a Neocaridina D. sinensis to me.
