Now as to aclimate them I would do small water changes every few days with fresh water untill it is a...

Depending on the size of the tank, a freshly cycled tank can have no measurable nitrates for the first month or so, even if its not planted :) It takes a little while to build up to the point where it will register on most test kits. hmm... first time I heard that! As far as I know you will have a ...

Re: Giving up!

Everything else was good, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate are all 0. You said you have a cycled tank, right? If so the NitrAte shouldn't be at 0 unless you have a heavyly planted tank that eats up all the nitrate. Maybe just maybe your test kit is expired, another thing is if you planted the hedge you mi...

Can someone tell me if this is true!

Lowering the hardness of the tank with RO water might increase hatch rate of the Shimps, much like breeding many fish.

Is this true? if so where can I get RO water? my tap is KH 5 & GH 8 with 7.5 ph.

Thanks!

So far there's no death in my tank (its been day 2) since trim the leaves & parted it into 2. Should I move the shrimps out or the plants? I have the plants (anubias nana & java fern) in the driftwood so it is easy to move than cathching all my shrimps.
