Well that is a gorgous bee. I have been breeding these shrimp for a while now and have only A grade at best. Those shrimp are SS and the top one (I am assuming 3 pics of the top one, and the bottome pic is of a 2nd shrimp) is almost a hinomaru!

Was looking atb the latest issue of Fish Magazine and there was a corner where they introduce the hobbyist. This month was a shrimp type and he mentioned you and the site.

Has anybody ever come across these shrimp before? I look at them and think that they are not worth what he wants for them. [edit by Mustafa: the guy wants $100.00 per pair] What do you think?

My dwarf orange female is matting with my dwarf brown male (he is carrying the orange gene). This SHOULD result in 75% orange and 25% brown offspring! Anyway here is the picture:


That is so cool! :-D We don't even have dwarf crayfishes here in Singapore. :(

Ghost shrimp....Interesting are they a suppressed type of shrimp or are the larvae pelagic?

It's a good thing I didn't add my fish or the list would have been too long.

Othello Bee A Grade
RCS
Minami Numa Shrimp (wild form of RCS)
Mystery Crayfish

I'd like to know what other people are keeping/breeding.

I just picked up a copy of AWAVE Magazine for March. It's a bimonthly aquarium magazine here in Japan with 250 pages of information. The March issue has a 50 page article called Keeping & Breeding Guide Of Red Bee Shrimp and Cherry Shrimp.

It goes into great detail on all aspects of the shrimp from ...

You can get some rudimentary translation using babelfish.

Don't need to use Babelfish as I read Kanji. most of the people on the auction site won't ship overseas, it's a pity as there are a lot of nice shrimp available in Japan ...

here are some pages from the MSN Japan auction site with a lot of photos of the shrimp. These are informative despite being in Japanese as it allows you to see what grades and varieties are currently available in Japan and Asia.
